FeedMore's Meals on Wheels is a home delivered meal program that provides nutritious meals to home bound individuals who are unable to shop or cook for themselves. Our clients are not only seniors and disabled individuals, but also people with temporary needs such as those recuperating from surgery. Meals on Wheels offers 14 therapeutic diets to meet specific nutritional needs. More than just a meal, Meals on Wheels also provides an essential safety and security check from the dedicated volunteers who deliver daily. Meals on Wheels serves individuals over the age of 18 and their dependent children. Income does not determine eligibility to receive services. We operate in 10 counties and four cities through Central Virginia including the entire county of Louisa. If you or anyone you know can benefit from our program, please contact Meals on Wheels at 804-673-5035.

Rebuild Together Orange/Louisa is looking for volunteers to assist with their building projects. They rebuild porches, steps, ramps or whatever needs to be done to help our citizens with repairs on their homes. Let me know if you want to help. 540-967-6095 The Humane Society is in need of volunteers for a variety of tasks from feeding animals to cleaning cages. They do accept teenagers as volunteers. If you would like to assist with our furry friends let me know. Community Animal Response Team will have classes to train you to help with animals in the event of an emergency. These four legged friends need a place to be safe too. Contact me for the name and phone number of the people in charge of this organization.

To learn more about VOL, or to obtain a volunteer nomination form, please contact VOL at 540-967-6095.
